At Atonement we are always working to maintain an environment that is welcoming, safe, and healthy. With the growing conversation surrounding the spread of the COVID19 virus (coronavirus), we want to keep you informed as we continue to prioritize the maintenance of that welcoming, safe, and healthy environment.

We have been in discussion and prayer with our leadership and following the advice of our community leaders as we look forward. Not out of fear, but out of love for our Atonement family and community, we will be limiting community wide events for a time.

worship

Following prayer and the recommendation of the CDC and community leaders to help stop the spread of COVID19 (coronavirus), we will be moving our church services online and not meeting at our physical campus. We will continue to monitor the situation.

We will be worshiping online every Sunday at 9:00 A.M. for our traditions worship and 10:30 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. for our modern worship. If you miss a service and want to see it later, you can join our online worship here.

how to get the most out of online church

be fully present

You’ll face a lot of digital distractions once the service kicks off. Choose to stay committed & engaged, turn your phone to silent or do not disturb for this worship.

get engaged

One of the best parts of online worship is getting to share worship with those who would may never come into our building to worship! We are also able to interact even more during the service. So ask questions and smash the reaction buttons. Share the service on your feeds and invite your family and friends near and far to worship with you!

don’t just watch, worship

You can’t be fed by watching others eat. It’s going to feel a little weird at first to worship a long on your couch at home,  but keep on singing, praying, and reading the Word along with the service. Here are the other ways to be involved and make your at home worship feel like you’re on our campus:

  • Give online here!
  • See what’s happening at Atonement here!
  • Follow along with the lesson and read the Bible here!
  • Students, fill out your sermon notes here!

welcoming

While the impacts of the coronavirus mean some changes to our daily lives, the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of people have not been put on hold and we will continue to care for those around us. At this time, while we are taking steps to protect our church family and community from the unnecessary spread of germs, we will not be worshipping in person for the time being but we will still be worshipping online at the link above. If you are apart of a small group or a life group we encourage you to move your meetings online using Zoom, if you would like to be set up with a link please contact Lisa Hanson at lhanson@atonementfargo.org. We will only be allowing essential staff into the building as the virus is active in the Fargo-Moorhead community. We will continue to follow the CDC’s direction as we move forward. You can learn more about the CDC’s report of the coronavirus here.

safe

We working proactively to make sure our worship environments and the building as a whole are safe and clean. We will be continuing to sanitize all hard and soft surfaces in the building especially on high touch areas such as light switches, door knobs and handles, pews and chairs, and toys in the kids and nursery areas during the weeks. To help contain the spread of COVID 19, we will not be worshipping in person for a minimum of the next 2 weeks but we will be worshipping online at the link above.

healthy

We are encouraging individuals to follow the CDC recommendations to take personal precautions to help avoid the spread of germs by; cleaning your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or to use hand sanitizer if hand washing is not available, to avoid touching your face, nose, eyes, etc., and when possible, avoid touching high touch public surfaces like door handles, elevator buttons, and hand shakes. We will not be worshipping in person for a minimum of 2 weeks but we will still be worshipping online at the link above. If you are apart of a small group or a life group that would still like to meet at Atonement, our church office will still be open you can call 701.237.9651 if you have any questions about meeting times.

how you can help?

Above all; keep praying, Even though our world has changed, the power of God has not changed. The truth of Scripture has not changed. The hope of Jesus has not changed. Our mission as a church has not changed. Let us not give in to fear. Rather, let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

Next take personal precautions; keep up on your hand washing or using hand sanitizer if hand washing is not an option, avoid touching public heavy touch areas, and avoid touching your face, nose, and eyes.
